Arizona, Hawaii, and Alaska are the only states that don't
have daylight savings time, so Ohio must have it. Next year, daylight

I had trouble finding the answer, so I sent an email to to an
Ohio state librarian. They responded with this link to The Ohio State
University archive:

The universities original name was
'Ohio Agricultural and
Mechanical College.' It was renamed in 1878 to 'The Ohio State University'.
It was believed that 'The' was a sign that it would be the most
important school in Ohio. |
